Drake's 'Take Care' Album Artwork
Canadian rapper Drake has revealed the cover for his 2nd studio album titled Take Care, due out October 24, along with the following message which was posted on his October's Very Own blog:
Feels like it's been so long. Is life moving so fast in this generation that when we desire something it begins to move in slow motion? Are we just used to getting what we want right away? Or do we require one another to feel right about all that is going on around us? Maybe our anticipation is justified by the fact that we genuinely cannot wait to share a moment again? Either way, your life and mine are scheduled to meet on October 24...I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Drake Slams Universal

Drake, who recently unleashed two new songs onto the Internet, slammed his label's parent company, Universal, for ordering that the songs be removed from his blog and other sites that have posted them.
"Universal needs to stop taking my f--king songs down" the Young Money artist tweeted. "I am doing this for the people not for your label."
The original versions of the two songs, "Marvins Room" and "Trust Issues," are no longer available from his site, although "Chopped up not slopped up" remixes can be streamed. The songs are reminiscent of both his debut EP/mixtape, "So Far Gone," and tracks by Drake-endorsed Toronto outfit The Weeknd.
Drake also announced in the blog posting that he'll be releasing an official new single next month, and that his second full-length "Take Care" will be released on October 24, which is also his birthday.
At presstime Universal reps had not responded to Billboard.biz's request for comment.

'Marvin's Room' by Drake
"Another piece of the story" as Drake has posted on his October's Very Own blog is the reference to this new low-key track titled Marvin's Room. Just last month he posted another track titled Dreams Money Can Buy. Drake has also let it be known that a new single will be released next month while his new album, Take Care, will be released on October 24th.

As Drake fans await the follow-up to debut album "Thank Me Later," the Toronto rapper has posted a new track, "Dreams Money Can Buy," on his October's Very Own blog this morning (May 20).
The track finds Drake waxing poetic about the finer things in life over a moody beat that samples U.K. singer-songwriter Jai Paul's single "BTSTU." "Dreams money can buy/They told me it's like a high and it wasn't a lie," Drake raps in the chorus-less track's second verse.
"A song that I felt the need to share," Drake explains on his blog. "Not my single. Just a piece of my story. Hear me out though..."
While Drake is currently working on his sophomore album, "Take Care," the Grammy-nominated rapper also spent time in the studio with indie R&B act The Weeknd, dishing on the pairing of the "young kings" on Twitter yesterday. Drizzy also steps up to the mic on DJ Khaled's latest single, "I'm On One," which also features Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.
