An unexpected turn in the race for #1 this week as rapper Jim Jones jumps eight spots to land directly at the top of the chart with a remix of Perfect Day. This version, is mixed by Clinton Sparks and DJ Snake, and does not seem to be official as I haven't found much info about it. It's Jones' second charted song. The first one was We Fly High from 2007. It also marks the return of the rhythmic genre to the top of the charts since January of this year when All Of The Lights by Kanye West featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi ruled the chart for 4 consecutive weeks.
The greatest gainer of the week is Adele's Rolling In The Deep which now joins the list of possible chart-toppers by climbing to #10 in its third week. Not bad for her first and only charted song so far. The biggest jump belongs to Marina & The Diamonds' Numb which skyrockets 64 places to #20 this week. That's Marina's 7th Top 20 hit.
Two power play songs are also re-entries this week. First at #92 is Far East Movement's 2gether featuring Roger Sanchez and Kanobby and Thirty Seconds To Mars returns at #93 with Hurricane featuring Kanye West.
And its one of those rare occasions: There are no debuts on the chart this week.
