Yuksek's "On A Train" Remix by The Magician

I'm still not completely over The Magician's take on Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers and I've been treating my ears to another one of his mixes, Beni's It's A Bubble - both songs are currently charting at #9 and #36, respectively - and now I find myself head-bopping to yet another one of his creations. This time it's Yuksek's turn as his On A Train gets The Magician treatment. This I found on SoundCloud. Enjoy below!

Top 5 Remains Unchanged

It hasn't happened in quite a long time, probably since 2008 or 2009, but this week's Top 5 remains the same as last week's. Not only that, but Lykke Li claims the top two stops once again with I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix) ruling for a third consecutive week. Love Out Of Lust remains at #2 as Greatest Gainer for second week in a row as well. And the Lykke Li domination continues this week as she also gets the Biggest Jump with Sadness Is A Blessing going #79 - #35 in it's second week on the chart.

The Highest Debut comes courtesy of The Strokes. Their return single Under Cover Of Darkness finally breaks the chart and bows at #46. More debuts include Benny Benassi's new single Cinema, featuring Gary Go. The Congorock Remix of that song debuts at #66. Lupe Fiasco sees two more songs chart as Coming Up and Beautiful Lasers enter at #68 and #78 respectively. Another remix song, The Magician Remix to Beni's It's A Bubble comes in at #95 while Duran Duran's Before The Rain does it one spot higher at #96.

So I know there's been a lot of praising for Lykke Li lately, but in the middle of it all stands The Magician, the mastermind remixer behind the current number one song on the chart: I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix). This, of course, has me surfing the web to find out more about what his work is all about and just recently came across another fantastic mix for It's A Bubble by Beni. I don't know if it's just plain excitement for discovering more great music or what, but the guy has me hooked on those keyboards and the obvious 80's synth-influenced inspirations.
