TMJ Charts: Gotye Still On Top

It's week number 3 for Gotye's Eyes Wide Open atop the Songs chart. And same luck for its parent album, Making Mirrors, which notches its 12th week at the top of the Albums chart. Following closely is Lana Del Rey with Radio which is up 4 this week to #2, her highest position on the chart so far along with Video Games. With Eyes Wide Open already losing steam, it seems Lana Del Rey could get her first #1 song by next week.

Or will Childish Gambino let that happen? This week his song Heartbeat jumps all the way to the Top 5 in its 4th week on the chart. Another contender could be The Killers now that Flesh And Bone jumps to #8, marking the band's 16th top ten hit so far on the Songs chart. No Doubt pushes to #17 with Push And Shove, and Gotye paves his way for another chart success as Save Me leaps 45-27.

It doesn't happen too often, but it happened this week as there are no debuts to talk about. There are only 4 re-entries at the very bottom of the chart starting with Flo Rida's I Cry, Young The Giant's Strings, The Lumineers' Ho Hey, and Nas' No Introduction.

The Recurrent Songs chart has Keane with the classic Somewhere Only We Know going all the way to #1 this week.

TMJ Charts: Maroon 5 Jumps to #1

Welcome back commentaries! Summer may be over but the music keeps rolling. And what better way to making a big comeback than introducing a new #1 on the Songs chart and a first for this band. After many entries and a couple of hit songs, Maroon 5 finally score their very first chart-topper with One More Night, off their recent album release Overexposed. In fact, they had only gone as high as #10 in the past with 2005's Sunday Morning from the album Songs About Jane, and more recently with last year's inescapable Moves Like Jagger featuring Christina Aguilera.

And that's how No Doubt's run at the top with Settle Down ends after five consecutive weeks, moving down to #2 this week. We have to watch out for Gotye's Eyes Wide Open which has made serious moves towards the top, settling at #4 as Greatest Gainer after 29 weeks on the chart. The week's Biggest Jump belongs to Rihanna as Where Have You Been moves up 47 spots to a new peak at #26. Big moves as well for Lana Del Rey's Radio (#28), Alabama Shakes' Hold On (#48), Mariah Carey's Triumphant (Vintage Throwback Remix) (#49), and Florence + The Machine's Heartlines (#50). The week's Highest and only Debut comes courtesy of Childish Gambino with his first chart entry Heartbeat coming in at #54.

The Recurrent Songs chart sees Domestic Scene by The Radio Dept. returning to the top. The Albums chart also welcomes back Gotye's Making Mirrors to #1 for a total of 9 weeks at its peak.
