From NME.com:
Gorillaz have revealed that they wouldn't let the TV show Glee use their songs. Frontman Damon Albarn said that although the group haven't been asked, they aren't interested in having their music appear on the show. "We wouldn't let that happen," Albarn told The Associated Press. "And not that they've asked us because they haven't, and now they definitely won't."
He added that shows like Glee showcase "a very poor substitute for the real thing." The Glee cast recently surpassed The Beatles for the most appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a non-solo act, but Albarn says people shouldn't take the feat seriously.
"Those songs won't last like The Beatles by any stretch of their imagination," he said. "They'll be forgotten in a few years' time." Gorillaz last week released a new song called 'Doncamatic (All Played Out)'. The group are currently on tour in North America, and will kick off a UK and Ireland tour in November.
