Adele, Ke$ha Hit The Top In The UK

I've only heard a song or two from Adele but I do know she's huge in Europe so no surprise with her getting the No. 1 album. But what really struck me is Ke$ha getting her first No. 1 in the UK charts, and a No. 1 debut at that, with We R Who We R, especially since Britney Spears couldn't do it with Hold It Against Me. Yikes!

From NME.com:
Adele has shot straight to the top of the UK albums chart today (January 30).

The singer scored the year's highest record sales so far with 208,000 for '21' in its first week of release.

She also recorded the biggest January album for five years since Arctic Monkeys sold 363,000 copies of their 2006 debut 'Whatever People Say I Am That's What I’m Not.

Elsewhere in the albums chart, P Diddy's comeback 'Last Train To Paris' went in at 24 while The Joy Formidable's debut 'The Big Roar' went in at 31.

Funeral Party are also in at 37 with their first record 'The Golden Age Of Nowhere'.

In the singles chart, Ke$ha has shot straight to Number One with 'We R Who We R'.
