Boy Bands Take Over The UK Charts

That's a very 1999 title but I'm not joking. This week sees two different generation of boy bands top both the singles and albums charts in the UK. On one hand there's the reunited group Take That with the fastest selling-album in the region and on the other the more recently formed group JLS for the singles chart.

From NME.com:
Take That have topped the UK album charts today (November 21) with the highest first-week sales for 13 years.

The reunited man-band’s album 'Progress' has sold almost 520,000 copies in the past week biggest opening numbers since Oasis with 'Be Here Now' in 2005.

They comfortably beat Rihanna's album 'Loud' which enters the charts at number two, while their single 'The Flood' remains at number two.

In a big week for boybands, JLS are a new entry at number one with their Children In Need single 'Love You More.
