Rihanna Performs on The Graham Norton Show

Here's another performance of Only Girl (In The World) by pop singer Rihanna, this time on The Graham Norton Show:

Check out this performance by one of my favorite bands from this year, Two Door Cinema Club, singing I Can Talk on the British late night show Later... with Jools Holland:

Kings Of Leon Go for a 3rd, Lupe's Big Debut

Even with all the competition this week sees another reign by rock band Kings Of Leon, who now have their longest running No. 1 song on the chart as Radioactive stays on top for a third consecutive week. Following close behind is Marina & The Diamonds who make it to their all-time peak of No. 2 yet again but this time with their single Shampain. That'll probably end B.o.B's chances of going to the top with the Rivers Cuomo collaboration, Magic, which goes down a notch to the No. 3 spot. But things get more interesting thanks to a huge debut by Lupe Fiasco as The Show Goes On enters directly at No. 8, giving him his 18th overall chart entry and his 7th top 10 song. It will most likely become his second chart-topper in the weeks to come.

Rihanna & Drake › What's My Name?

She's not wasting any time. Red-haired Rihanna has released the new video for her second single from Loud, her upcoming studio album. It features rapper Drake and was shot in the streets of New York City. What's My Name? recently became her eighth No. 1 single on the Billboard Singles chart. The song is the first No. 1 US Single for Drake.

Keri Hilson › Pretty Girl Rock

Watch this new video by Keri Hilson going through the ages of R&B. It's quite cool actually and has her portraying the likes of Diana Ross in The Supremes, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson and T-Boz from TLC (the back-up dancer looks so much like Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopez!). The song is Pretty Girl Rock and is the second single from her upcoming album No Boys Allowed.

Jessie J › Do It Like A Dude

I don't know who this Jessie J girl is or how I ended up watching her video but she definitely can Do It Like A Dude as suggested by the not so girly - but so bizarre - music video, which I think at some point reminded me of that Hostel film but without all the gory stuff, of course. The song itself... I don't think so.

Susan Boyle & Taylor Swift Battle for U.S. No. 1

It's not exactly the type of battle I'd be anxiously anticipating the end for, but I find it interesting that in today's fast-paced world these two women can get so much attention... and sales. Is it just hype or do they really deserve it?

From Billboard.com:

Susan Boyle, who finished 2009 with the year's second-biggest selling album according to Nielsen SoundScan, is eyeing the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 next week. Standing in her way? The woman who took home last year's best-seller, Taylor Swift.

Boyle's second album, "The Gift," released yesterday (Nov. 9) is perhaps headed for a start of around 250,000 copies sold by week's end on Nov. 14 according to industry prognosticators. However, Swift's current No. 1, "Speak Now," may also sell about the same number.

It's a bit early in the week to call the race, especially considering how Swift will perform on tonight's Country Music Association Awards -- which are always a catalyst for music sales. And, because Boyle's appeal is likely focused with older consumers, her album's fortunes may improve over the weekend when families and grandparents are out shopping at their local big box retailer.

Boyle's debut set, "I Dreamed a Dream," blasted in at No. 1 a little under a year ago with 701,000 sold in its first week according to SoundScan and spent six weeks atop the list. "Dream" closed out 2009 with 3.1 million sold, just a little over 100,000 copies behind the year's best-seller: Swift's "Fearless" (3.2 million).

Other albums heading for a high arrival on next week's Billboard 200 include Reba McEntire's "All the Women I Am," Bon Jovi's "Greatest Hits," the "Now 36" compilation, Cee Lo Green's "The Lady Killer," Elvis Presley's "Viva Elvis," Alter Bridge's "AB III" and Kid Cudi's "Man on the Moon 2: the Legend of Mr. Rager."

Will.i.am Breaks Down Black Eyed Peas' New Disc

I think we'll have to wait and hear what The Black Eyed Peas are bringing this time around because so far their new single is not cutting it for me. The sample? It's a total cheese-fest! The only good parts are the robotized Fergie vocals, and that's already giving it too much credit. What was wrong with Elephunk, really?

From SPIN.com:

"Boom Boom Pow." "My Humps." "I Gotta Feeling." It's easy to hate on the Black Eyed Peas for making mindlessly fun pop music for the Jersey Shore set. But it takes true skills to write hit music, and while most musicians would kill for just one hit song, the Peas had five Top 10 singles off their last album The E.N.D. alone.

On November 30, Will.i.am, Fergie, Apl.de.ap, and Taboo will return with a new album The Beginning. And the record finds the group going in an out-there, almost-avant-garde direction. Sure, they rejigger the Dirty Dancing song "I Had The Time of My Life" on lead single "The Time" — but they also use samples of classic songs by Chic and Slick Rick while pushing catchy synth melodies and Auto-Tune-heavy vocals to the extreme. It's the sort of eclectic album that art-rockers, club kids, and B-boys could get behind.

"Our last record was just, 'Yo! We're making crazy beats — party, party, party!" Will.i.am tells SPIN.com. "This one is more inspired by electro and dance music — it's the only thing alive at the moment. There are some songs where we're going all the way, but we mix it up. Some songs are 120 BPM and others are like 320."

He says the Peas' main goal was to connect the greatest music of the '80s to more modern sounds. "The 80s was very unique — it launched humanity into hyper mode," says Will. "From then to now, we've transcended to a totally different culture, like, 'What?' Now we have high-definition, 3-D animation whereas the beginning was Tetris and Space Invaders. How did Space Invaders become Madden NFL. That's what we're doing — we're connecting the pixels."

Working with producers like David Guetta and DJ Ammo, the Peas cut the record all over the world, in hotel rooms while on the road and after Will.i.am's late-night DJ gigs, where he tested out many of the album's beats on the crowd. Tracks like "The Time" were recorded on the fly so there's a homespun, DIY vibe coursing throughout. "We had no speakers so I had to hi-jack the hotel television set and plug my computer into it," says Will. "I needed a new beat because I had to go DJ that night."

SPIN.com caught up with Will.i.am. to break down some of the album's highlights:

"Do It Like This"
Like the two-part techno-funk epic "Imma Be," the Black Eyed Peas splice together two club-ready jams into one five minute track. "Do It Like This" was months in the making. Will had left-over beats from working with Usher on "Oh My God" so he wanted to sample fans' opinions before using them on Black Eyed Peas' new tunes. After DJ'ing one night in Toronto, Will brought back strangers to play them his creations. "I told them, 'Don't be afraid to say its whack. Don't tell me it's cool because you're being polite,'" says Will. "So I played them music and everybody was like, 'Ugh!'"

Still, Will stands by the beats that make up "Do It Like This," which has a dizzying, minimal German techno vibe. "I don't care if you've shot a billion people and I don't care if you've sold crack to the Pope," says Will. "That beat is harder than any attitude or any freakin' mug-shot face. It goes to a place no hip-hopper would go to right now."

"XOXOXO"
The wildest song on the record, "XOXOXO" is four minutes of robotic voices, icy synths, skeletal beats and Will wooing a lady via text message with hilarious lines like "Girl, you stole my heart like a klepto / Butterflies in my stomach, need Pepto." Will says he wanted to make something totally unlike "I Gotta Feeling," where each member had easily-identifiable vocals. So he crafted a hook so saturated in Auto-Tune, it's impossible to tell if it's Will or Fergie singing on the chorus. "We wanted to use the combination of our voices, which is unique," he says. "It's not about who's singing what part. A lot of times, people fall short in the studio worrying about who gets to sing which part."

"Fashion Beats"
An undeniably catchy dance number featuring Fergie's sex-kittenish, Debbie Harry-esque vocals. The disco and funk pulse is authentic: Will cribbed a sample of Chic's 1979 classic "My Forbidden Lover" for this tune. "Fergie's all like, 'Faaaaaashion!'" says Will. "It's crazy fresh!"

"Don't Stop the Party"
A buzzing, hot club jam that features whoosing synths and slap-funk bass grooves. Will's lyrics are some of his funniest yet: dude manages to rap "lyricals" and "digital" with "aboriginals" and "genitals" in a thick, Caribbean patois. It's the longest track on the album at close to six-minutes — but Will is proud enough of the song that he'd even play it for Jay-Z. "I would go to Jay's studio and play this be like 'Boom! Check it out!,' says Will. "Then I go dirty Caribbean on him on the last verse."

Cee Lo Green Live On 'Letterman'

Watch this ultra-censored live version of Cee Lo Green's hit Fuck You! on the Late Night Show with David Letterman. I mean, really, what's the point? But on the other hand, even with all the censorship, it's still a far better version than Forget You.

Uffie › Difficult

I get psyched every time I stumble upon new artists that make great music and it just so happened that I found this song by French/American singer Uffie, who not only can make an instant catchy tune like Difficult, but she also has a cool and interesting video to go along with it. As soon as I heard the very first lines of the song "Don't worry if I write rhymes, I write checks" I knew I had to get the album, which goes by the title of Sex Dreams And Denim Jeans and was released this past June. And as crazy as it may sound, this one is already the fourth single off the album. How did I not discover this before?

Kid Cudi › REVOFEV (Live @ VEVO Go Shows)

After listening to his first album way too many times I'm ready to do just that all over again but with the second. In anticipation to Kid Cudi's new release I'm posting a not-so-new live performance of this standout track included in Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager (out tomorrow!). The song is REVOFEV, which stands for "Revolution Of Evolution":

Maroon 5 › Give A Little More

Here's the latest single from American band Maroon 5, Give A Little More. The video was directed by Paul Hunter and has the band playing in a party inside an old house while Adam Levine sings in between the crowd. Not too much else, except for all the sexy ladies having fun everywhere. That's my favorite type of video that's really about nothing. Give A Little More is included in their third studio album Hands All Over.

First Listen: Michael Jackson › Breaking News

Are you ready for this? I've already talked about how uncomfortable and awkward this new song by Michael Jackson is. There's already a war of words all over the internet of fans claiming how it doesn't feel like it's 100% him singing and blaming the label's "evil schemes" to just make money off his death. Whatever it ends up to be, it's surely gonna bring some controversy to the table. Breaking News is set to be included on his first posthumous album titled Michael.

Mariah Carey › Oh Santa!

Check out the video for Mariah Carey's infectious new single Oh Santa!, available in her new holiday collection Merry Christmas II You. It's retro feel fits very well with the song and it's all complete with an Ed Sullivan Show type introduction, dancing kids, an energetic crowd and a cameo by Santa himself. A happy and pregnant-looking Mariah shines throughout the entire performance. Oh Santa! is currently making its way up the chart as it solidly sits at the No. 63 position of this week's edition. Expect it to get even higher as the holiday season approaches.

Natasha Bedingfield › Strip Me

Check out the latest single from British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. Strip Me is written and produced by OneRepublic's lead singer Ryan Tedder and will be included in her upcoming album by the same title, expected to be released during the first week of December. Natasha is no stranger to the chart and this one should have no trouble mixing in with the currents. Her biggest songs so far include Pocketful Of Sunshine (No. 14), These Words (No. 2) and Unwritten (No. 15), to name a few.

Cheyl Cole Goes to No. 1 in the UK

It's still a battle of the Pop female hotties over in the UK as Cheryl Cole tops the Albums Chart and Rihanna does the same in the Singles Chart.

From NME.com:

Cheryl Cole has gone straight to Number One in the UK albums chart tonight (November 7) with 'Messy Little Raindrops'.

It is the second time the Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge has hit the top spot with a solo album after her debut LP '3 Words' went to Number One last year.

However, she was denied a UK chart double by Rihanna, whose latest track 'Only Girl (In The World)' replaced Cole's Promise at Number One in the singles chart.

Rihanna has now scored a Number One in each of the last four years after hitting the top spot with 'Umbrella' (2007), 'Take A Bow' (2008) and 'Run This Town' (2009), according to the Official Charts Company.

There were four new entries in the albums chart top 10, including Bon Jovi at Number 2 with 'Greatest Hits' and Rumer's 'Seasons Of My Soul' at Number 3.

In the singles chart, Alexis Jordan went in at Number 3 with 'Happiness, while The Saturdays featuring Flo Rida moved up to Number 10 with 'Higher'.

The UK top 10 singles are:
